What a Crowd!
More than 60 Karin Derry supporters packed the patio at local Johnston business ShortE's BBQ on August 15. Among the socializing and sampling the wings, Karin's enthusiastic guests raised more than $1,000 to support this first-time candidate's November election.
After an introduction by Johnston City Council member Rhonda Martin, Karin spoke to the crowd about her reasons for running. She wants to:
Reinvest in our public education
Fix the broken Medicaid disaster of the past few years
Knock as many voter doors as possible
Bring passionate, informed leadership to the House, courtesy of House District 39!
